Fixing an Inaccuracy

How you fix an inaccuracy depends on who owns the page carrying it. Check the Source type on the Citation tab:
  • Your brand: update the page so it matches your facts.
  • Third party or Competitor: contact the site owner and ask them to correct the information.
If the claim is correct and your fact is out of date, update the fact on the Facts page instead.
Tip: Fix your own pages first. They’re fully in your control and the quickest to update.

Marking an Inaccuracy as Irrelevant

If a flagged claim doesn’t apply to your brand, click Mark irrelevant in the breakdown, or next to the claim in the list. The claim moves to the Marked irrelevant tab on the Inaccuracies page, so it no longer clutters your list.

FAQs

What counts as an inaccuracy? Any claim in an AI answer that contradicts one of your facts. If AI says something about your brand that none of your facts cover, it isn’t flagged. Add a fact for it to start checking it. What’s the difference between Inaccuracies and Mention count? Inaccuracies counts each wrong claim once, however many answers repeat it. Mention count counts every time the claim comes up, including more than once in the same answer. Do suggested facts affect my report? No. Suggested facts are only used once you accept them and they move to your Facts list. Can I change which prompts are checked? Yes. Click Edit prompts on the Facts page to add or remove prompts. What happens when I delete a fact? AI answers are no longer checked against it, and claims that contradicted only that fact stop being flagged. Where else can I see inaccuracies? An Inaccuracies column also appears on your Citations and Prompts pages, so you can spot pages and prompts with inaccurate claims while you work on visibility.
