# How to use Fact Check

Once you've set up Fact Check, you can add, edit, and manage the facts used to verify AI-generated answers.

Go to **Fact Check > Facts** to manage your existing facts or add new ones.

### Managing existing facts

From the **Facts** tab, you can:

* **Edit a fact:** Click a fact to update its details.
* **View inaccuracies:** Click the three-dot menu (⋯) next to a fact and select **View inaccuracies** to see claims that contradict it.
* **Delete a fact:** Open the same menu and select **Delete fact**.
* **Find specific facts:** Use the search bar and **Source type** filter to narrow the list.
* **Export facts:** Click the download icon to export your facts.

### Adding Facts

Click **+ Fact** to add new information. You can choose from four methods:

### Add manually

Enter a fact directly. This is useful for information that isn't published on your website or for making quick corrections.

### Sync from brand kit

Import facts from your existing Writesonic brand kit.

Select **Sync from brand kit** to open **Agents > Brand kit**. You'll see a confirmation when the sync is complete.

### Add using URL

Generate facts from pages on your website or other reference sources.

1. Select **Add using URL**.
2. Paste the URLs you want to use, one per line.
3. Click **Generate facts**.

### Upload files

Generate facts from documents containing information about your brand.

1. Select **Upload files**.
2. Drag and drop your files or click **Browse files**.
3. Click **Generate facts**.

You can upload PDFs, documents, or spreadsheets.

While Writesonic processes your URLs or files, you'll see an **Extracting facts…** status. You can leave the page and return later to review the extracted facts.

If no relevant facts can be extracted, you'll be prompted to add them manually.

> **Note:** AI answers are checked against your facts, so your report is only as accurate as the facts you keep. Update or delete facts when your pricing, features, or policies change.

### Suggested Facts

The **Suggested facts** tab contains claims about your brand that Writesonic extracts from AI answers to your tracked prompts.

Suggestions refresh after each prompt run, based on AI answers from the preceding 14 days. If no new prompt run occurs, the suggestions remain unchanged.

Because these suggestions come from AI-generated answers, they may contain incorrect information. **Always verify a suggested fact before accepting it.**

For each suggestion, you can:

* **Accept fact:** Add the verified statement to your Facts list. Its source will be marked as **AI Answer**.
* **Reject:** Remove the statement from your suggestions.

Suggested facts are not used to check AI answers until you accept them.

> **Best Practice:** Read each suggestion before you accept it. Suggestions come from AI answers, so a suggestion can repeat the same mistake you want Fact check to catch. Use **Accept all facts** only after you've reviewed the list.
